Introduction to African Language Structures

About

The aim of the course is for you to develop a basic understanding of the linguistic structure of one of the African language families, or an African language. The focus is mainly on the study and analysis of phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. The knowledge is acquired through lectures and the reading of relevant simple scholarly articles. You will also acquire a basic linguistic conceptual apparatus.

Entry requirements

General entrance requirements for university studies. Exemption is given from Swedish.
