Introduction to Linguistics and African Languages
Summary
This course gives you a general overview of the languages in Africa. Through lectures, reading of scientific literature and discussion among students, you are introduced to basic linguistic terminology and are helped to develop a basic understanding of various language structures typical for many languages in Africa.

Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
General entrance requirements for university studies. Exemption is given from Swedish.
Selection
Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %).
