About the Programme

The Master’s Programme in Physical Oceanography will give you in-depth knowledge of the physics of the ocean, including governing forces for ocean circulation, climate, and the polar seas. You will get acquainted with the state-of-the-art techniques used to observe and model the ocean.

The Department of Marine Sciences has access to a unique marine infrastructure, such as state-of-the-art research vessels, and research field stations.

If you have citizenship in EU, EEA country, or Switzerland, you are not required to pay application or tuition fees in Sweden.
