Programme structure and content of Mathematical Sciences
There is a high degree of freedom and flexibility in our programme. You will work with the programme coordinator to establish an individual study plan, building your specialization from a wide range of advanced courses.
There is one mandatory course for all specializations: Perspectives in Mathematics. There are two exclusive courses – closed to students outside our programme – that are based on solving real-world problems from industrial partners:
- Project Course in Mathematical Modelling
- Project Course in Statistical Modelling
There are five specializations:
- mathematics
- applied mathematics
- mathematical statistics
- financial mathematics
- statistical learning and AI
You will work with the programme coordinator to establish an individual study plan, building your specialization from a wide range of advanced courses, both from a list of recommended courses and from other subjects according to your interests. Your final thesis can be an applied project completed in cooperation with an actor outside the university or a more theoretical project within one of our research groups.
