The Botany Building
The botany Building (Botanhuset) is located right next to the Botanical Garden in Gothenburg and this is where education and research within Botanical Science, Environmental Science and Marine Sciences is conducted.
Student lounge and Student Office
"Kroken" is the student lounge and is located on the ground floor in the right wing of the Botany Building. You will also find a kitchenette here if you would like to heat up your own food.
Lecture halls, computer labs and student lounges are located on the ground floor whereas the Student Office and labs are located on the first floor.
Lunch options
In the entrance hall there are vending machines with coffee, tea, cookies, sandwiches, sweets, and soft drinks. The range of lunch restaurants in the close area is limited, but within walking distance there is a convenience store, and a pizza shop, where you can buy lunch food.
Gothenburg Botanical Garden
The Botany Building is located right next to the Gothenburg Botanical Garden, an about 430 acres large garden most of which is a nature reserve and includes an Arboretum, a Rhododendron Valley, the Japanese Dell and the Rock Garden. The Gothenburg Botanical Garden also has greenhouses with 4,000 different species and cultivars, a restaurant and a shop. Always worth a visit.
