After studying studying the Master's programme in Innovation and Industrial Management, Vladyslav now works at Volvo Group.
Describe your role at Volvo, what do you do at work?
-In my role, I blend elements of supply chain, business, and data analysis with a touch of software development. Our team focuses on ensuring that Volvo Group dealers worldwide have the right spare parts at the right time and in the right quantity, utilizing various automation systems. We set up system parameters, maintain availability, ensuring cost efficiency, and provide analytics on dealer performance. Collaboration with other teams is crucial, and we're actively involved in developing new system versions using cutting-edge technologies in a citizen development approach.
What's the best thing about being a DIM analyst at Volvo Group?
-The flexibility in my role is fantastic – I can choose paths in supply chain, data science, or development based on my interests and career goals. The role allows me to engage in projects that align with my passions, involving a lot of analytics and problem-solving where I can apply creativity and logic. Being part of a large international company adds excitement, providing opportunities for global interactions and potential travel. Lastly, the camaraderie within our team is exceptional; we operate like a close-knit family, and that positively impacts our work environment.
How has the IIM-programme prepared you for your professional life?
-The IIM programme played a crucial role in preparing me for a professional career in Sweden. It equipped me with essential knowledge and valuable networking opportunities. Engaging in a course that involved a project for an automotive company in Gothenburg opened doors for my first summer internship there.
Additionally, my current position originated from writing my master’s thesis within the same team. Overall, the programme was instrumental in my development as a young professional and played a pivotal role in securing my first job in Sweden.
