Forskningsintressen Jag är intresserad av vad som avgör om elever lär sig eller inte lär sig ett specifikt innehåll i undervisningen. Mitt forskningsintresse handlar om; relationen mellan lärande och undervisning, ”learning study” och matematikundervisning.
I min avhandlingsstudie lät jag flera lärare pröva olika lektionsdesigner för att se om de får liknande resultat angående vad eleverna lär sig. Länk till avhandlingen hdl.handle.net/2077/22180 Den bygger på ett tidigare forskningsprojekt ’Lärandets Pedagogik’ (år 2002–2006). Projektet genomförde olika learning studies med lärare i grundskolan.
Learning study är ett samarbete mellan lärare och forskare där man försöker designa lektioner för att förbättra elevernas lärande av en särskild förmåga t.ex. förståelse för oändlig decimaltalsutveckling. Analysen av de olika ”learning studies” visade att vissa aspekter av innehållet var kritiska för elevernas lärande. I mitt avhandlingsprojekt får lärare genomföra lektioner med en specifik design för att pröva de kritiska aspekterna i andra grupper av elever.
