Mari Lundberg är professor och fysioterapeut och driver forskargruppen Back in Motion. Hennes forskning handlar huvdusakligen om smärta med särskilt fokus på rörelserädsla. Hon använder sig av olika typer forskningsmetoder och designer, så som kvalitativ metod, randomiserade kontrollerade studier och regressionsmodeller.
Mari blev legitimerad sjukgymnast 1992 och har arbetat kliniskt inom olika områden (ortopedi, primärvård och idrottsmedicin). Hon har en specialistkompetens inom ortopedisk kirurgi, en kandidatexamen i psykologi och en doktorsexamen inom ortopedi. Hon har fördjupad kompetens inom beteendemedicin och statistik.
Mari undervisar och handleder på alla nivåer i utbildningsystemet. Hon har arbetat med undervisning sedan 2007 på Göteborgs universitet, Karolinska Institutet och Vårdalinstitutet. Hon är för nuvarande huvudhandledare för två doktorander och bihandledare för fem doktorander.
Mari sitter i styrgruppen för Göteborgs universitets centrum för personcentrerad vård (GPCC) där hon också leder forskningsdomänen för utbildning och lärande.
