Vonintsoa Rafaly defended her thesis in January 2020 at the University of Nantes (France). Her research interests revolves around rethinking ocean governance to better address global challenges, through concepts like common interest, common concerns, solidarity, justice and infrastructures. She is working mainly at the intersection between the law of the sea, maritime law, environmental law and climate change law. She is interested in inter- and multi-disciplinary collaboration in research.
