I lecture and research in the fields of international trade, maritime and transport laws with particular focus on digital transformation and sustainability. Funding from the EU, national governments and industry bodies has supported some of my research endeavours. I have actively participated in the deliberations of UNCITRAL Working Group III (Transport Law) (2007-2009) and Working Group IV (Electronic Commerce) (2012-present). I have published monographs, chapters in books and articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Earlier I worked at Lund University and was responsible for the delivery of the Master's Programme in Maritime Law. I read for my Ph.D. degree at the World Maritime University in Sweden where I participated in several research projects and also held a position of teaching and research fellow. I hold M.Sc. in Informatics from Gothenburg University, LL.M. in Maritime Law from University College London in the UK, and B.Sc., LL.B. and MBL degrees from universities in India.
