My research interests mainly relate to museums/museology, the construction of heritage, human-animal studies, historical perspectives on contemporary phenomena, gender/gender in intersectional perspectives, cultural studies, environmental sociology, visual studies/visual culture, death, the body, and material culture.
My teaching experience includes course responsibility and teaching in environmental sociology, sociological theory, human-animal studies, social planning (in particular risk-society and the case of the car and motoring), gender studies, environmental history, sustainable development and the multidisciplinary course "Identities". I teach in the pre-school teacher program and am course coordinator for the course “The Teaching Profession and Theory and Methods of Science for Pre-School Teachers”. I also supervise bachelor's theses in sociology.
