Caroline Adiels
Senior Lecturer
Department of PhysicsAbout Caroline Adiels
My research interests are optimizing optics- and microfluidics-based technology on biological and life science-oriented applications. The main focuses are signal transduction, cell-cell interaction and metabolism/aging on single cell level using model organisms such as yeast, bacteria, algae and mammalian cells, but also development of organ-on-chip technology for tissue formation and drug screening processes. I am part of an experimental interdisciplinary research group that collaborate with theoreticians, biologists, chemists and life scientists that jointly try to tackle some complicated questions.
