About Christer Lundh

Christer Lundh defended his dissertation in economic history at Lunds University in 1987. He was appointed Associate Professor (docent) in 1992 and Professor in 2002 at the Department of Economic History, Lund University. He took the chair in economic history at the University of Gothenburg in 2006. His academic credentials include being associated researcher with the Center for Business and Policy Studies (SNS) 2002-2010, chairman of the Scientific Council for Humanities and Social Sciences of the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) 2010-2012, and chairman of the Academic Appointments Board and member of the Faculty Board of the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg. He was the director of the PhD programme in economic history 2006-2016. Christer Lundh does research and teaches in the fields of labour studies and industrial relations, and historical and economic demography.
