Department of Chemistry & Molecular BiologyAbout Davide Zabeo
I am a doctoral student working in Johanna Höög's lab.
My main project focuses on using cryo-electron microscopy and tomography to study the ultrastructure of eukaryotic flagella. Our chosen model is human spermatozoa, where we discovered TAILS, a new structure inside the lumen of microtubules specifically at the sperm tail tips.
I am currently working on identifying which protein(s) TAILS is made of.
