Presentation of Helena Hellgren
Helena Hellgren is a PhD student at the Department of Education and Special Needs Education, University of Gothenburg. She has a long background as a vocational teacher in adult education and upper secondary school, specialising in floristry. Since 2017, she has also been employed at the University of Gothenburg, teaching on the vocational teacher programme and as a course leader. Her latest education is a Master's programme in pedagogy, specialising in action research.
Research interests
Helenas research interests revolve around inclusive education, learning environments, vocational education, extra adaptations and special support. The thesis work is an ethnographic study, focusing on support in both arenas of vocational education - school and workplace.
