Presentation Helena Josefsson is a PhD student at the department of Education and Special Education, University of Gothenburg. Prior to launching her work at the university, she worked as a teacher in Swedish and Social study subjects in primary school and Special needs educator in secondary school. She holds a Degree of Master of Science with a major in Education, specializing in Special Education and a postgraduate Diploma in Special Education Needs.
Research interests My research interest revolves around inclusive education, equity, participation and disability. My thesis focuses on girls with autism in secondary school and their lived experience of participation. The voices of the students and their stories of school life are central to the study.
My supervisors are Associate Professor Shruti Taneja Johansson and Professor Gun-Britt Wärvik.
