Organic chemistry is the study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds. The range of application of carbon containing compounds is enormous and includes, but is not limited to, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food, explosives, paints, cosmetics and gels.
My research focuses on developing methods for making new molecules and new ways to create chemical bonds. The molecules that we develop are used in materials research we are especially interested in a self-assembly materials such as low molecular weight gels.
