Jeff Kaller serves as the Program Director for the Master in Applied Arts and Design program at HDK-Valand Steneby. His background is in ceramic art, teaching and academic leadership.
Kaller received his MFA in Ceramic Art from The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University (USA), BFA in Crafts from The University of the Arts (USA) and was a Fulbright recipient to study ceramic art at Aalto University(Finland).
Prior to his work with HDK Valand, Kaller served as the Rektor for Stiftelesn Stenebyskolan and as Associate Professor of Art at Columbus State University (USA) where he also served as Interim Chair of The Department of Art and taught in study abroad programs in London and Japan.
Kaller’s studio practice explores structure / surface relationships through pyro-plastic ceramic material. His works can be found in several public and private collections including: The Columbus Museum (USA), San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts (USA), The Alfred Ceramic Art Museum at Alfred University (USA).
