Malin Sveningsson is a lecturer and researcher in Communication Studies. She received her Ph.D 2001, from the Department of Communication Studies at Linköping University, Sweden.
Her publications include:
- Creating a Sense of Community. Experiences from a Swedish Web Chat (2001)
- She is a co-author of Digital Borderlands: Cultural Studies of Identity and Interactivity on the Internet (2002)
- Cyberfeminism in Northern lights. Gender and digital media in a Nordic context (2007)
- Gender and sexuality in online game cultures: Passionate play (Routledge, in press). She is also a co-author to a Swedish textbook on Internet research methods (2003).

Digital media, computer-mediated communication, internet culture, virtual worlds, social interaction, popular culture, youth culture, gender and identity.

Teaching
Coordinator of theses and courses on Bachelor and Master level. Teaches theory and qualitative methods at advanced level.
