About Mats Lindegart

Professor at the Department of Marine Sciences and scientific coordinator at the Swedish Institute for the Martine Environment.

My main place of work is at the Tjärnö Marine Laboratory situated 150 km north of Gothenburg and 130 km south of Oslo (see map).

My research and teaching ineterests involve coastal zone management, aquaculture, benthic ecology and statistical modelling. Current research activities are typically policy-driven and focus on methodological issues related to (1) modelling and mapping of benthic biodiversity (PREHAB) and (2) monitoring and status assessment of coastal waters (WATERS).
