Graduation 2024: BFA Fine Art

FINE! is this year's graduation exhibition for the bachelor students in Fine Art from HDK-Valand and is shown at Galleri Konstepidemin. Visitors will encounter large-scale paintings, performance, interactive art and talking sculptures. The exhibition is a selection of 14 ongoing artistic practices with a desire to tell, show, ask questions and comfort. The use of material is a constant presence in the work of the students and is used to explore everything from everyday boredom to mysticism and house parties. 

"The art works in FINE! are scattered slices of our ongoing processes. It is art that is not afraid to take up space, in the room, in the brain or in the tentacles" says student Hugo Hernqvist.   

FINE! The graduation exhibition opens, the credits start rolling, and it’s time to get up and go out into the real world again. This is an ambition to continue a conversation after the movie is over.

During the vernissage, a theatre play will also be performed in House 10 by student Ninni Nylén.

Public gallery talks 
The students also invite you to public gallery talks between them and four invited artists.
Wednesday 17 April at 16.00-19.30, artists: Dorna Aslanzadeh and Martin Solymar 
Thursday 18 April at 16.00 - 19.30, artists: Rickard Eklund and Johanna Willenfelt
The talks take place in the exhibition rooms.
