Together with the Royal Institute of Art, HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg and and are pleased to announce the launch of the Center for Art and the Political Imaginary (CAPIm), Sweden's first center of excellence in artistic research. You are welcome to attend in Stockholm or online via zoom.

CAPIm is dedicated to the exploration of the intersections of contemporary art and political futures. The launch marks the start of a multi-year collaboration between HDK-Valand and the Royal Institute of Art, with funding from the Swedish Research Council.  

CAPIm is co-chaired by Prof. Mick Wilson and Prof. Natasha Marie Llorens, with support from a steering group that includes Prof. Jyoti Mistry and Dr. Axel Andersson. .

During the event, while introducing our preliminary programme, we are keen to hear your thoughts on the possible ways in which the new center can contribute to and support the wider development of artistic research in Sweden and beyond.
