The testing of moral conduct (vandelsprövning) is a high-profile yet relatively unfamiliar aspect of Swedish migration policy. Sweden is not unique in introducing new grounds for expelling immigrants, and criminal background checks have long been part of the system. In this seminar, Andreas Asplén Lundstedt, presents the results from a Delmi Policy Brief on the topic and offers a historical and comparative perspective on the use of moral conduct assessments in migration policy and analyzes the potential consequences of reintroducing such evaluations.

The policy brief in its full is available in both Swedish.
