Panel description

How we think about migration is one of the most pressing and important conversations we can have. Our world is facing the tremendous challenges of war and armed conflict, climate change, human rights abuses, injustice and economic inequality. The factors driving people to seek a new life elsewhere will very likely multiply in the future.  This panel will bring together scholars and practitioners to explore the future of migration and how to approach that future.

Key questions addressed by the panel will include:

  • Which scenarios and drivers will play a key role in future migration?
  • What will the new migration patterns be?
  • How can we improve migration data collection?
  • What challenges and opportunities exist in the development of new, evidence-based migration policies?
