In recent years, researchers FIKS (a unit at the University of Oslo) have worked with a number of different municipalities to strengthen the competence of teachers in school. Central themes have been assessment, digitization and multimodal texts. Parts of this work have also been linked to the MuLVu Innovation Project, which is funded by the Norwegian Research Council and carried out in collaboration with six schools and 20 teachers who use iPads in Bærum municipality.
In this open seminar, researchers from FIKS, will talk about experiences from these collaborations. What role can teachers have in research projects? How can teachers and researchers together produce new knowledge which can strengthen teachers' collaboration in professional communities?
Øystein Gilje has worked with technology and learning at UiO since 2004. For the past four years, he has led the unit FIKS, Research, Innovation and competence development in the school.
At the seminar, he will place particular emphasis on projects carried out in FIKS on digitization and assessment, and not least show examples of collaboration with teachers in the MuLVu project.
Eli Tronsmo is a postdoctoral fellow at ILS, UiO and associated with the FIKS unit. She has researched teachers' collective work with professional knowledge, and in her current project (MuLVu) looks at the dynamics of change in teachers' assessment practices.
Cornelia Egge is a PhD student, employed at NLA and enrolled in UV's doctoral programme. In her first part of her doctoral work, she works with the data material in the MuLVu project.
Her project is called Creating meaning with a digital, multimodal text.
