Bolivian doctoral students visit School of Global Studies in Gothenburg
In 2025, ten doctoral students from Bolivia completed a two-month guest research visit at the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg. This visit is part of the PhD program in Social Sciences and Humanities at Universidad Mayor de San Simón (UMSS) in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and is part of the ongoing collaboration between UMSS and the School of Global Studies.
The aim of the visit was to provide the PhD students with the opportunity to get acquainted to and participate in a different research environment from their home departments, create networks, and work closely with their Swedish supervisors. During their stay, the doctoral students actively engaged in various academic activities, such as attending a series of academic seminars and workshops, and working on their theses.
