What are the implications of security for different agents involved in the flight process before, during and after refuge? GADIP (Gender and Development in Practice) organized an international conference to discuss the refugee issue from a gender and security perspective.
The conference was free of charge and open for all those interested on these issues whatever their political, religious, academic or organizational background.
GADIP is a politically independent association that tries to create a space where feminist and gender focused researchers meet with activists, a place where theory and practice meet in joint actions and dialogues.
The conference was co-organized by GADIP, Göteborgs Stad and School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg.
