About David Eberhard
David Eberhard is a licensed doctor and specialist in psychiatry and addiction medicine. For many years, David also served as the head of the psychiatric emergency department in Stockholm, as well as several other units within adult psychiatry and addiction medicine. Nowadays, David works part-time with private patients in both of his specialities. The other part of the time, he is a practicing specialist doctor in public psychiatric care at the Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala. In parallel with his work as a department head, David has worked for over fifteen years with neuropsychiatric evaluations, both in general psychiatry and in addiction treatment in Stockholm.
Research Interests
In recent years, David has conducted a research project that maps developmental-related disabilities among adult psychiatric outpatients. The research focus of David's doctoral project is to investigate the prevalence of neuropsychiatric syndromes within general psychiatry, as well as to evaluate existing diagnostic tools and attempt to find other reliable assessment methods. David is scheduled to defend his dissertation on January 15, 2025.
