About Eva Billstedt
Eva Billstedt is a licensed psychologist and a professor of psychology with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry. Eva works clinically at the Child Neuropsychiatric Centre for Children and Adolescents (BNK).
The dissertation defended in 2007 was a long-term follow-up of adults who were diagnosed with autism in childhood during the 1970s and 1980s.
Research interests
The overarching aim of her research is to describe clinical and dimensional phenotypes (ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, behavioral disorders, antisocial behavior) from a longitudinal perspective and to identify prognostic factors for the development of individuals with these conditions. These overarching goals also encompass issues related to cognitive aspects, diagnostic stability, quality of life, and well-being. Groups relevant to these studies include those with rare diagnoses (e.g., 22q11 deletion syndrome, Silver-Russell syndrome) and clinical groups with autism and/or ADHD.
