About Sandra Rydberg Dobrescu
Sandra Rydberg Dobrescu is a licensed clinical psychologist working at the Eating Disorder Centre for children and young adults (Queen Silvia's Children's Hospital). She has many years of clinical experience in the field of eating disorders and meets adolescents with eating disorders and their families in her daily work.
Research interests
Sandra’s research interests comprises long-term outcome, neuropsychological profile, health economy, and comorbidity (autism spectrum disorder and ADHD) in anorexia nervosa. She is a PhD student at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology at the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre. Her PhD project titled “Adolescent-onset anorexia nervosa in the acute phase and after 30 years” aims to explore the long-term outcome of anorexia nervosa including quality of life, psychiatric health and health economic aspects and to clarify the links between eating disorders, autism and ADHD. Part of the project relates to pregnancy and health outcomes in children born to mothers with a history of anorexia nervosa.
