Aim of the Networking-Centered Session

The aim of this session is to create a platform for networking and collaborative discussions on learning about person-centered care within health science education programs. By bringing together you, the experts, students and practitioners in the field, we aim to identify and develop future-oriented strategies that can enhance education and practice in higher education.

Objectives of the Network Sessions

Promote Networking

Create opportunities for conference participants to connect and exchange experiences with other professionals in higher education.

Strengthen collaboration between international institutions and organizations within higher education.

Explore LearnPCC Conference Key Themes

Conduct in-depth discussions on the following three central themes and identify opportunities and challenges within these themes:

• Pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning of person-centeredness.
• Creating compassionate learning environments.
• Translating person-centered theory into clinical practice.

Develop Future-Oriented Strategies

Generate new ideas and strategies that can be implemented in the participants’ own institutions and practices.

• Webinar 6 March 2025: Title: Promoting self-compassion in higher education, Speaker: Dr Marti Balaam from the University of Edinburgh. 

Collaborative Research Projects

• Facilitate the creation of collaborative research projects among network members to explore new dimensions of person-centered care.

Mentorship Programs

• Establish mentorship connecting experienced researchers with early-career professionals to support their development in the field.
