Apply to later part of programme
Have you started an education at another university and want to move to HDK-Valand? Here's information on how to apply for admission to later part of the programme.
If you have started an education with similar profile as one of the programmes offered at HDK-Valand and want to change programme or study location, you can apply for admission to later part of programme. We will make an assessment of your current education and to which extent your studies correspond to the programme you applied for. You can be admitted to the second semester at the earliest.
Selection and admission
Applications are ranked based on an assessment of the personal letter and the submitted work samples (portfolio). For some programmes, the applicant may be called for an interview as part of the selection procedure.
Admission to later part of programme can only be approved if;
- There is a vacancy in the programme and,
- You meet all the entrance requirements within the programme

Application date
Last day to apply for the autumn semester is April 1
Last day to apply for the spring semester is October 15
Appeals
Applications that are rejected due to lack of available places in the programme cannot be appealed.
Applications that are rejected due to the applicant not meeting the entry requirements, can be appealed to the Board of Appeal for Education for Higher Education. The appeal has to be in writing. Include which decision you want to appeal, the change in the decision you request and why the change is requested. The appeal must be received by the university within three weeks of you receiving the decision.
