Visiting Researcher from Norway at JMG
The Department of Journalism, Media, and Communication (JMG) is pleased to welcome Vilde Ellingsberg as a visiting researcher. She joins us from the University of Bergen and is in Gothenburg to gain new experiences in the research world.
Vilde Ellingsberg, who is a PhD candidate, will be visiting JMG in November. Her doctoral project examines changes in competency needs, priorities, and recruitment within journalism. She has previously studied media and communication sciences and has also conducted studies in Bergen, which have broadened her perspective in the research field. Vilde Ellingsberg says:
"I am interested in how the role of journalism and journalists is adapting to changes driven by globalization, digitalization, professionalization, and economic priorities.”
During her time at JMG, Vilde Ellingsberg will present her research to colleagues interested in news and societal journalism, meet JMG’s PhD candidates and researchers, and participate in relevant seminars at the department.
Vilde Ellingsberg looks forward to receiving valuable feedback and building networks within the academic world. She hopes her stay at JMG will provide her with new insights and connections that will benefit her continued academic career.
