Ulrika Bengtssons’ doctoral thesis "Self-management in hypertension care", which was defended at a public defense November last year, has been awarded with price for best thesis at the Institute of Health and Care Science, Sahlgrenska Academy, 2015. Main supervisor was Professor Karin Kjellgren. Assisting supervisors were Professor Åsa Mäkitalo and Associate professor Charles Taft.
The award ”Best thesis at Sahlgrenska Academy” has been distributed since 2009 and is financed through a donation from Dr Arnt Vestby's research trust fund. Each year a total of seven doctoral theses that were defended during the preceding year are selected for the award; either as best thesis at each institute (30.000 skr each) or as best thesis at the Sahlgrenska Academy (80.000 skr). The awards will be handed out at a specific ceremony on May 17: th 2016 at 14:30.
