The #culinaryheritage research network in new collaboration with Rydal
The new collaboration is linked to the exhibition "Food: more than just a meal" which visits Rydal's museum 25 May - 16 October 2024. During this period, the museum, Rydal's Herrgård and Rydal's Pelarsal together with the research network #matarv (culinary heritage) at the University of Gothenburg organize a series of events with the theme of food as cultural heritage.
Information about upcoming events will be published onProgram och aktiviteter - Marks kommun and https://www.gu.se/kritiska-kulturarvsstudier/cchs-eventserie
#matarv (culinary heritage) is a network for collaboration around research and museum collections about food, traditions and cultural heritage. Food is not only what we eat, but also culture, identity, politics, attitude and environment.

The exhibition "Food: more than just a meal" is produced by the Regional Museum in Sköne in collaboration with Den Gamle By in Århus and Maihaugen in Lillehammer.
The exhibition "Nybyggaren - A story about going your own way" is a story about determination, longing for freedom and closeness to animals and nature. But also a story of hard work and a trying existence. This is the first time Gabriella Andélius' life choice is depicted in an exhibition. The exhibition is produced by Rolf-Göran Åström, freelance photographer.
Both exhibitions visit Rydal's museum 25 May – 16 October 2024: https://www.mark.se/rydalsmuseum
