Accelerating high quality in midwifery education program in Bangladesh
Short description
This research project aims to identify factors influencing the delivery of high midwifery education in Bangladesh, where an accreditation system is being implemented as part of a United Nation Population Fund project. The research team will use a process evaluation framework to understand how accreditation standards are being met in midwifery institutes, identify barriers and enablers to accreditation, and determine the effectiveness of the accreditation system in preparing competent midwives.
Data will be collected through questionnaires, focus group discussions, and surveys of educators and final year midwifery students, and will be analyzed using statistical methods and qualitative content analysis. The findings will inform the development and implementation of a sustainable accreditation system in Bangladesh.
