Short description
This research project is focusing on the exploration of the influences of innovation on R&D in the helatcare industry, building on theories around knowledge spillovers, technological importance of patents, and drug repurposing. The dissertation includes quantitatively assessing a combination of dataset from health authorities and patent registration offices to asses the impact of innovative outcomes in that industry. In a second chapter qualitative data from university industry collaborations are assessed to enhance the understanding of their interactions.
