Investigation of activity capacity in mental illness

Psychiatric problems account for a majority of ongoing illnesses and cases with long periods of sick leave. Lack of knowledge about activity limitations, the ability to work, and the effect of early interventions have been judged to be important causes. In the research project, the effect of an early mapping and assessment of activity ability, carried out by occupational therapists, is tested when sick leave is extended in specialist psychiatry. The measure is expected to lead to the patient earlier receiving adequate interventions for return to work and better routines for working with investigations and treatment interventions with a focus on.
