Making waterways sustainable: A model for legitimate collaboration in Swedish hydropower
Short description
The research project examines how collaboration and collaborative governance can enhance regional processes in the context of revising environmental conditions for Swedish hydropower plants. Through interviews, site visits, participant observations, and surveys, the project analyzes success factors in ongoing collaborative processes related to hydropower. The findings are communicated through research articles, blog posts, updates on the project's website, and a final report focusing on practical guidance for promoting regional collaboration on the specific issue of environmental reviews for hydropower. The project integrates expertise from disciplines such as social anthropology, human ecology, political science, and public administration.
