Methods for digital diagnostication of sensitive heritage
Research project
Active research
Short description
Climate change is a challenge for the cultural environment that requires cooperation and multidisciplinary approaches where more disciplines are included. This is a problem in cases where the endangered monuments and environments are remote and inaccessible; repeated trips have a costly environmental impact and demanding expeditions risk excluding experts whose skills are needed. Based on the documentation carried out during the CHAQ2020 expedition, the project will therefore investigate how experts in different disciplines can visit and diagnose a place digitally and how lessons from this can be applied to documentation and analysis of other sensitive or inaccessible environments.
