Recovery-oriented work- and study interventions for people with psychosis
Short description
The overarching aim is to investigate whether persons with psychotic disorders who wish to work or study get equal and fair access to work/study rehabilitation.
In the first sub-study, ethnicity, age, gender, and work history are compared between those who have/have not taken part in the rehabilitation methods Individual Placement and Support (IPS) or Supported Education (SEd). In the second sub-study, staff members take part in interviews to explore how decisions are made regarding who should be referred for IPS/SEd. Persons who have migrated to Sweden and taken part in IPS/SEd will be interviewed in the third sub-study. Experiences of a) work/study while affected by serious psychiatric symptoms and b) experiences of IPS/SEd will be in focus. There are to date no Swedish studies investigating these questions.
