Illustration of Time Geography
The construction of an individual path. The individual path exemplified with Mr. Svenson and his shopping ingredients for a party he will arrange in the evening. Mr. Svenson performs activities in a sequence and he is located, first in the home (when the individual at his parallel to the time axis), thereafter on the road and the individual path moves both along the time and the place axis, then he is located in the shop (again, the individual path is parallel to the time axis), after that he walks home and his individual path moves both along the time and places axis (now he is heavily loaded with grocery so he walks slower than when he went to the shop, which can be seen from the fact that it takes him longer time to walk the same distance), and finally he is located in the home again (and the individual path is again parallel to the time axis). The Time-Geography Network and Conferences

The Time-Geography Network and Conferences is a network for researchers, teachers and PhD students interested in the time-geographic approach.

The Time-Geography Network is open for researchers, teachers and PhD students who are interested in the time-geographic approach and what it might offer to their research work. It is an interdisciplinary network with members from a variety of academic disciplines and specializations. Through the network the members get inspiration from each other and gain from the different experiences from working with the time-geographic approach. The Time-Geography Network arranges one meeting each year, every second year on a Nordic basis and every second year an International Time-Geography Conference is arranged.

The latest information and the past record of the Time-Geography Conference can be found here.
