About
The course provides basic concepts and methods in probability theory and statistics.
Course content:
- Probability theory: stochastic variables, expected value, variance, correlation, conditional probabilities, law of large numbers, central limit theorem and Markov chains.
- Statistics: estimates and confidence intervals.
- Combinatorics: generating functions.

Grundläggande kunskaper inom diskret matematik, linjär algebra och envariabelanalys.

Facilities
Mathematical Sciences is a joint department of Chalmers/University of Gothenburg. Your education takes place in the spacious and bright premises of Mathematical Sciences at the Chalmers campus Johanneberg, where there are lecture halls, computer rooms and group rooms.
