Senior Lecturer
Department of Social WorkAbout Karin Stinesen
The primary goal of my research is to find out how we can improve psychosocial care in an efficient and sustainable way throughout the disease trajectory for individuals and their families affected by cancer. A secondary goal is to further the understanding of the underlying cognitive, emotional, and behavioral mechanisms to psychosocial change in the face of chronic and acute illness. Current research endeavors, among others, specifically focus on psychological adjustment throughout the diagnostic process of prostate cancer within the screening context.
