Postdoctor
Department of Political ScienceAbout Patrik Michaelsen
Background
Ph.D. from Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg. Postdoc researcher at the Department of Political Science 2023-
Research interest
My main interests are behavioural public policy, environmental politics, and behaviour change. I am curious about how individuals make decisions, and in particular what individuals think about attempts at influencing them. Examples of focus areas in my research are public acceptance of environmental policy interventions, individuals’ experiences of policy interventions (related to ethics and welfare), and how increased transparency about policy interventions such as nudges affect effectiveness and people’s evaluations of them. I primarily use experiments and survey methods, and am a strong advocate for the "open science"-movement.
