About Per Thilander

Between 2014-2020, Per was one of two directors for Centre for global HRM (CGHRM). The centre was established by the faculty for Business Administration together with the faculty for Social Sciences and aims to strengthen the Swedish competitiveness and foster sustainable working life by initiate, drive and develop relevant HRM research. The research aims to be utilized through seminars, conferences and other new meeting points between representatives from the academia, private companies and public organizations. The centre also put effort in strengthening the education for forthcoming HR professionals, both at basic and advanced levels. Per is from 2020 member of the steering committee for Centre for global HRM.

Pers area of research consists mainly of two part. The first part is about organizing HR, how big multinational companies and public organizations organizes their HR functions, eg shared service centres and service delivery models in HR and what effects this has on line managers and HR professionals in the organizations. The second research area is focused on People Analytics, how private and public organizations indtrduces new data driven and digitalized methods, ways of working and technical devices to enhance the desicion making in the HR areas, and what challenges and opportunities this means for different actors in the organizations.
