I am a Social Anthropologist (PhD University of Lisbon, 2007), Associate Professor at the School of Global Studies of the University of Gothenburg. My main current research site is Angola, where I have studied and published on religion, mobility, temporality and heritage, politics, social movements and environment. I am currently coordinating research projects on Environmental Disasters and Civic Mobilization in Angola (our project blog), on Gas Gospels and Un/Sustainable Development and Environmental Risk in Mozambique, and on Assessing the Angola-Namibia border in the age of environmental and sanitary disaster.
