Platform for Research in Inclusive education and School development (PRIS)
PRIS is a research platform exploring issues of inclusion and exclusion of children and adults in education and related areas of policy and practice. It is a development of classical special educational needs questions through using a broader approach combining the field of school development and school leadership to inclusive education and related questions. This implies interdisciplinary work and collaboration with researchers from different fields as well as collaboration with municipalities and local school practices, teachers and school leaders.

Research focus
The research focus of PRIS should be conceived of in broad terms, work which focuses on the characteristics of inclusive educational systems, how learning and wellbeing are promoted and alternative teaching models are implemented, studies which investigate categorization and the social construction of special educational needs, projects which focus on ways of reaching and leading school success and projects which examine the social characteristics of children identified as having special needs with reference to the intersection of gender, ethnicity, nationality, language, social class, disability and so on. In addition, PRIS has a clear focus on research in collaboration with the surrounding society.
