Mini-Meetings

NEON members who are active in Sweden have had the opportunity to apply for funds to initiate collaboration on specific scientific issues.

There is currently no possibility for members to apply for funds contributing to the cost for participating in mini-meetings or any other conferences or courses.

 

Interaction with society

NEON represents the majority of researchers and practitioners in the field of nutritional epidemiology in Sweden and can therefore act force fully in the dialogue with politicians and media in order to maintain and strengthen the economical and other crucial resources for research within the field.
Important past actions include communication with the minister of agriculture to prevent the planned closedown of the food composition tables at the Swedish National Food Agency (see links below).
