Organisation
The Faculty of Science and Technology is one of seven faculties at the University of Gothenburg and consists of nine departments.
The faculty's highest governing body is the Faculty Board. The Faculty Board is responsible for research, education and collaboration. Within the framework provided by the University Board and the Vice-Chancellor the Faculty Board also decides on the main focus, governance and internal organisation of the activities.
The Departments are directed by the Head of Department (prefekt). The Head of Department is appointed by the Dean who is in charge of the faculty's overall operations towards the Vice-Chancellor. To support the Dean there is a Management Team.
The faculty also has a Heads of department council consisting of the dean, pro-dean, department heads and a student representative. The Heads of department council deals with, among other things, the documents for the Faculty Board's decisions.
Management Team
The dean has overall responsibility for operations at the Faculty of Science. The faculty's management team consists of the dean, pro-dean, vice deans and the head of the faculty office.
